Future Projections:
Philosophy: Inspired to enter medicine since high school. Decided to pursue pre-medicine with the dream of becoming a pediatrician, combining passion for children & medicine. While a freshman in college pre-medicine, decided to pursue a less rigorous degree after mom was diagnosed with terminal illness. Became an elementary teacher and worked in the field for a few years before returning to medicine. Became a PA and while in training discovered a new interest - surgery. Upon graduation accepted a position in cardiothorac surgery. Since have had the opportunity to care for patients in orthopedic surgery and general & bariatric surgery as well. One of the loves of medicine is how dynamic it is, always changing and advancing. ThereÔøΩs always something new to learn. Her advice is ÔøΩAccept the challenges of medicine; never be afraid to learn something new & never forget who is on the receiving end of all that you do.ÔøΩ The key to her success is the ÔøΩsupport from her sisters.ÔøΩ Her husband, also a Physician Assistant ÔøΩunderstands the stress associated with the profession.ÔøΩ
